Charging systems

There are very different scenarios in which energy has to be introduced or transferred in a defined way. It does not matter whether it is inductive energy transfer, classic chargers or inrush current limiters. In all cases, we can supply you with components, devices or complete systems.

Wireless power transmission

Wireless energy transmission is becoming more and more widespread in our environment. This is not just about charging cell phones in a vehicle, for example. Industry has also been using this technology for quite some time. Whether in the field of rotating shafts or also for charging driverless transport systems. With our inductive solutions, inductive energy transmission can be realized according to your wishes. Just talk to us about it.

Technical specifications

Power: 0.1 W ... 10 kW
Current: 10 mA ... 100 A
Voltage range: up to approx. 30 kV
Clock frequency: 10 kHz ... 50 kHz

Examples

Designs

  • As an independent assembly (open frame) or as part of a device
  • With any input and output connections
  • Uncooled, air-cooled or media-cooled (e.g. water)

Fields of application

The applications of our wireless power transmission range from industrial electronics to traffic engineering. They are always used when standard solutions (e.g. EMC or EMU, geometry, ambient temperature) are not good enough for your application.

Chargers

No matter for which application you need a charger, we can certainly offer you the right solution. In doing so, we can cover a very wide performance range. Also with the chargers you will find no standard with us, but exclusively customized developments. Whether developed by you or by us - we will gladly take over the production. Just contact us.

Technical specifications

Power: 1 kW ... 60 kW
Current: 1 A ... 1 kA
Voltage range: up to 800 V
Clock frequency: 10 kHz ... 50 kHz

Designs

  • As an independent assembly (open frame) or as part of a device
  • With any input and output connections
  • Uncooled, air-cooled or media-cooled (e.g. water)

Fields of application

The applications of our chargers range from medical technology and communication technology to mechanical and plant engineering. They are always used when standard solutions (e.g. approvals, efficiency, system integration) are not good enough for your application.

Inrush current limiter

Inrush current limiters can be used to realize a soft start. The inrush current is limited in various ways (passively or actively). This can be realized, for example, via a resistor, but also via a hot conductor, a semiconductor or via a phase section. Not only motors benefit from a limited inrush current. The charging current of capacitive loads can also be limited, for example. This typically occurs whenever an input voltage is applied to an intermediate circuit of a power supply.

Technical specifications

Currents: up to 100 A
Voltages: up to 480 V
Type: passive or active

Designs

  • As an independent assembly (open frame) or as part of a device
  • With any input and output connections
  • Uncooled, air-cooled or media-cooled (e.g. water)

Fields of applications

The applications of our inrush current limiters range from drive technology to power supplies of all kinds. They are always used when standard solutions (e.g. size, interfaces, insulation) are not good enough for your application.

Other charging systems

In addition to the charging systems shown, the Pikatron Group also offers many other types. In some cases, only the terms differ, but in others these are genuine special cases for which we can, of course, also help you. In all probability we can also help you with discontinued charging systems of other manufacturers, if your application does not allow a basic renewal. But we are also available for updating your entire application. Just contact us.
